Baradin Hold Bug in WoW: Cataclysm Classic

Jun-04-2024

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Classic has encountered a bug that allows players to farm the Baradin Hold raid twice a week. The 10-man and 25-man versions of the raid do not share a lockout, enabling players to run each instance once per week. This issue was highlighted by Twitch streamer Ahlaundoh, who demonstrated the bug by defeating the boss Argaloth in both versions of the raid.

Implications:

Players can earn extra gear and rewards due to this bug, effectively doubling their opportunities for loot from Baradin Hold each week.

The bug has not been officially addressed by Blizzard as of now, but a fix is anticipated before the next weekly reset.

Background:

Baradin Hold is the latest raid addition to Cataclysm Classic, launched today.

Other available raids include The Bastion of Twilight, Throne of the Four Winds, and Blackwing Descent.

Upcoming raids include Firelands, scheduled for October 2024, and Dragon Soul, set for January 2025.

Player Reception:

The re-release of Cataclysm Classic has generally been well-received, despite initial concerns from the community preferring to stay in the Wrath of the Lich King era.

The accelerated cadence of raid releases is designed to mitigate the content drought that affected the original expansion run.

Advice for Players:

Players should take advantage of the bug quickly, as Blizzard is expected to implement a fix soon. Running both the 10-man and 25-man versions of Baradin Hold can significantly enhance weekly loot and gear progression.
